A tribute

0

WSVN paid their tribute to a friend and coleague Mark Londner who passed away Thursday night from melanoma. He was going to be 56 years old on Monday the 31st.
He produced a piece last year, of his career highlights which he intended to be part of his obituary.

WSVN aired the piece on all newscasts on Friday.
Here it is as it ran on 7NEWS At 5

7News senior reporter Mark Londner passed away

1

Last night WSVN’s senior reporter Mark Londner has passed away from cancer. The station ran a message Mark has apparently made a while back, taking a look at his work with WSVN and what he’s covered over the years. I’ll make an effort and have it on the site as soon as possible.

The Sweeps are over, and the ratings are in

0

WSVN still holds the 5-5:30 pm crown as well as the 10pm. WPLG has only claimed the 6pm newscast.
WFOR and WSVN are in a tie for sign-on to sign-off category both grabbing 9% of viewers.

WTVJ is so bad, that it has slipped all the way to number 5 behind WPLG

The Palmbeach market is pretty boring. While WSVN’s ratings went thru the roof thanks to Joe and American Idol, WFLX-FOX29 only scored two-tenths of a point upwards. WPEC-CBS12 and WPBF-ABC25 were up from a year ago, with WPEC leading as the vieweres’ favorite station. WPTV-NBC5 was a close 2nd. Thanks to the twardy ABC shows this season though, ABC25’s ratings are up 50%.
WTVX the UPN/WB channel is flat

Trouble at WPLG

0

Seems something else fucked over there, again.
This station is like a magnet for lawsuits, after being sued by a former employee for age discrimination and then for having an investigative reporter going the supersized extra mile to get her job done, word is WPLG is getting fingered by Olga Villaverde and Olga Bichachi who are alleging that they are being forced out of their jobs.

To add to all the action, Gen manager and Vice Prez of WPLG John Garwood hit and killed a 37 year old person on the Florida turnpike at 4am in the morning this past saturday
