After Brian Andrews, Robbin Simmons leaving 7
Robbin Simmons is leaving 7News for WDIV, the NBC affiliate in Detroit where she will assume the position of anchor/reporter. Robin has been with 7News since April of 2000
New newsplex
A new newsplex is in the works. Thanks to someone who shall remain nameless I can share some details. The plans are still in their early stages for the construction of a brand new newsplex, which according to the insider “will be radically different”. The new set will be something along the lines of what CNN Headline news has, but bigger and in a 2 storie scale. Deco Drive will also get a new set. In addition the station is getting a complete graphics overhaul.
I’m going to speculate here, and say that all of the changes will happen together by the end of the summer, likely sometimes in September or before the November elections
