Glenna Milberg Promoted to Co-Host of This Week in South Florida

As of Sunday WPLG reporter Glenna Milberg has added the title of This Week in South Florida co-host to her job duties, joining senior political reporter Michael Putney at the round table reporting on local issues. Putney has been the sole moderator of the program solo since starting at WPLG in 1989.

“I’m so excited and so honored to become a regular part of our go-to source of information for South Florida issues, politics and events,” Milberg said. “Working with Michael has been a highlight of my South Florida news career; he’s the consummate newsman and a great friend. Viewers should know we have some great things planned for the program, plus a little fun along the way.”

The issues and community affairs program also got an extra half hour to cover more stories. It now runs a full hour starting at 11:30am on Sundays.

As the promos suggested, WSCV went live with their new set during their 6pm newscast. Crews have been working for about a month to put everything in place and newscasts had to originate from the shared newsroom with WTVJ.

The new set features three large video walls, one used as a backdrop behind the anchors displaying a video feed of downtown Miami just like WTVJ. The other two are used as backdrops for the weather and sports areas. And a smaller video wall is used for stand up
