  • Bryan Norcross told people at the National Hurricane Center he is giving up his daily forecasting at CBS4! He’ll stay on as a hurricane specialist during hurricane coverage and special reports. David Bernard will probably take over the daily duties as chief meteorologist.
  • 7News has been looking at two female anchors for their 4pm newscast which will be lunching in the fall but so far no one has been selected.
  • Lynn Martinez was seen interviewing with other stations and networks recently fueling rumors she may be looking to leave 7news!
  • Roger Simmons is reporting that Martha Sugalski is leaving NBC6/WB39 for Orlando’s WESH to anchor their 4pm and 11pm newscasts.

  1. I am very happy for Martha. I dont know why – but NBC 6 could have promoted Martha along time ago, at least she should have been paired with Julia at 5. But since WTVJ has given her no chances of moving up – this is a great oppurtunity for her and WESH in Orlando. I would much rather watch Martha then Jim Payne any way and I go to school in Orlando, so this is great for me.

  2. Martha is one of TVJ’s best reporters. She’s really great… and she and Julia make a great team at 10 on WB39 (they should be doing the news at 5 on tvj)… I think that David is right and that it’s a good opportunity for her… but I don’t want to see her leave 6!!!!!!

  3. i was just reading Roger Simmons website and he is saying that it is confrimed that Martha is leaving us. Good luck to her. Also any news on when wb39 well get a new set? And if so will it premire the same day as the CW on Sept. 5?
