Correction regarding the story of a reporter impersonating an agent from alarm company – someone (same person as before) send a tip a while ago saying they spoke to the detective on the scene who answered the phone. The reporter who allegedly impersonated an agent from the alarm company is from NBC6, allegedly, not WFOR as originaly posted. The detective apparently mixed the stations up.
Her name is, allegedly, Hetal Gandhi, she reports for “Today In South Florida” and joined ‘TVJ recently from WJXT.
No other info yet on what the detective plans as far as investigation and charges are concerned!
Um, is this the same Hetal Gandhi who is purportedly a descendant of “the” Gandhi? Boy, that Ardy Diercks has an eye for talent, hmmm? Did Mother Teresa have any nieces or nephews who wanna be on TV, too?
You people are being completely unfair and this story is totally untrue. ALL stations were notified about this story throughout that overnight period BY THE HOMEOWNER INVOLVED. The first calls to the assignment desk were not received from police or by something heard over the scanners but from the same “victim” this post speaks about.
So before you believe another rumor that turns out not to be true — there’s been a lot of that here lately — get the facts straight.
This woman is brand new in town, admin you didn’t even know who she was, and you’re already crucifying her.
crucifying?
Simply stating what’s been passed down to me. I made no judgements.
That’s why it’s saying ‘alleged’ and ‘rumor’
Same way the media reacts when people get arrested
Or does it not apply to TV reporters?
What do you have to say for yourself now newsfan?
That’s exactly the problem with the media…doesn’t mean it needs to be duplicated here. And what are you David, the sidekick?
Jeez, it was a comment about the unfounded rumor against a new, somewhat green-to-the-Miami-market reporter.
And I was referring to her being crucified by this site because, 20 comments later from here, that’s what will have happened.
Look at what you did to Stone from Channel 4 and then, 24 hours later, “oops it was Hetal Gandhi from 6.”
Other people made the comments and jumped to conclusions guessing who it was. Not me
I’m not going to have a back-and-forth fight here. But I will repeat one more time that I did not say you were making accusations and pointing fingers….
“And I was referring to her being crucified by this site because, 20 comments later from here, that’s what will have happened.”
“This site” — meaning the comments that appear from those who frequent it, not the person who runs it.
Your screename sir is newsfam. If I am to assume correctly, you are a fan of the news. This site is designed for people who are “newsfans” to learn about and discuss current events relating to the media. Thats what you’re doing right now, and if you are so against this site, and bashing reporters, why the hell are you visiting it (reading it) and more than that, why are you posting a message if you dont believe in it?
You have to admit that newsfan does have a point though. There was no evidence about what thsi NBC reporter did, not quotes from anyone involved, yet the site still posted it and that makes it rumor. These sites are so dangerous sometimes. At least this one doesn’t claim to be a journalistic site. This is justa place where a lot fo stupid people, including me post things that they here and then the rumors ignite like wildfire. Rumors are so dangerous folks. This reporter at NBC would probably feel horrible if she saw this and it wasn;t true. There probably should have been more evidence of this actually happening before anyone posted it – because the people who run this site can be sued and held responsbible for whatever is on here. That is just me, the entertainment attorney speaking. That’s what I do for a living. When this thing first wen ton line everyone was accusing some reporter names Shamari Stone. Then, it is revealed that he didn’t do it and someone else did? Good thing none of you people are reporters. You would be just as bad as the people you are accusing. This site should be more about what is factually reported and discussions about what people like or don’t like on television news.
seems to me that Admin is doing what the reporter does. He is reporting news. Whether it is true or not. ITS NEWS. There is NO need to give admin grief about this. He reported on something that is happending. Either get over and move on or quit posting here
Nothing negative has been said in regards to Hetal Gandhi- personally I like her- not as much as Tina Conte though – she was really good (especially in the mornigns). And I have never met Mr. Admin – so calling me his “sidekick” wont hold up. Its like saying Robin was Batmans sidekick, but they never met. And in this country we have a right to free speach – so even if someone did say something negative about her – thats the nature of this country. The President dosent sue the 70% of Americans that dont like him. And Hetal Gahndi and Shamari Stone know that with them in the public eye, they can become targets of critzcism anywhere – no harm done !
No harm done to you because your REAL NAME isn’t posted on this site. But Hetal Gahandi’s name is and that’s unfair and unfortunate considering the RUMOR IS NOT TRUE. Some people on this blog take pleasure in slandering some reporters, stating unfounded rumors as factual. They don’t have the courage to confront the tv talent in the face, so they sit back behind their screens and anonymously slander their names. Rumors are indeed dangerous. I really liked this blog. But I don’t like anonymous, cowardly, people trying to destroy talent based on rumors. Grow up. That’s exactly what’s wrong with the media today. I would hate for “www.exigi.com/fltv” to fall into the same category.
That is the risk reporters take everyday and these comments serve merley as individual viewers’ opinions (not facts). And I am not a coward – my name is David Fink.
