GossipExtra.com dishing today on WPBF anchor Victor Blackwell and his burning desire to ditch West Palm Beach for anywhere else. The site reports Blackwell has decided not to renew his contract with the station and even suggested former WPEC anchor Ric Blackwell as his replacement. Blackwell’s relationship with fellow anchor Tiffany Kenney is also said to be very icy, with the two not having much to do with each other unless the lights and cameras are on.
The site also reports WPBF news director Kyle Grimes, who helped turn the station around and under his leadership made it #2 in ratings, is leaving to run the Hearst-owned station in Burlington, Vermont.
Victor Blackwell joined WPBF July 22, 2009 from the NBC/ABC duopoly in Jacksonville, FL.
He is off to CNN.
He will no longer be known as Victor Blackwell, but Victor Blitz.
