Today is Charles Billi’s last day as WSVN anchor. As we told you at the end of November 2010 Billi is leaving his anchor job at WSVN to focus on his website BigTampa.com

Sad, uncomfortable to watch ending last night, it looked like Martinez was forced to give him a cake,she refused to eat any when Billi offered her some and then she made sarcastic remark about him thinking he was hot. hot he is not you’re right Lynn!
Wow. Haters. Lynn and Charles are friends. And Charles happens to have a lot of them who are sorry to see him go.

I can’t speak on Charles behind the scenes b/c i don’t know him. But he was a dynamite presenter and deft writer. His antics/wit may have been over the top at times, but not embellishment. He knew how to grab attention, challenge viewers, interject accountability and draw light to details in stories. So few personalities know how to do so. that’s why tv news it tanking. I will miss this dynamic storyteller.
Some harsh comments here but many are true. As far as “dynamite presenter and deft writer”, Charles was often difficult to watch ( it was about him not his co-anchor) and his writing always seemed to me that he had to “prove” he had the largest vocabulary, Two words missing from Charles Billi’s vocabulary “Thank you” never heard it in years from him.
Never appreciated anyone except himself.

I did not know he was leaving,I thought he was on vacation,I thought he was a good anchor,and he will be missed.
It is clear the people posting here dont work in the newsplex because when Charles left, so did a lot of laughing and smiles. He said things to the management we all want to say. Chaz wasn’t afraid of anyone or anything, and was a total smart ass In fact, people secretly cheered when he mouthed off. Believe me, Chazzy is missed.
