And the last of them has flipped the HD switch on. WLTV went HD at the end of October just in time for November sweeps. The new graphics are really nice, very shiny and crisp but the music is a bit meh, not bad though. They also kept their nice set which in our super expert opinion is one of the best out there as far as news sets go that do not feature a newsroom as a backdrop – it’s just so bright, airy and colorful and they got the lighting right!
You can see a long montage video after the jump

Very nice. You’re right about that set, it’s beautiful.
One question though, does HD really make sense in Spanish?
Yeah, since TVs are branded as “HDTVs” makes sense to use HD in the graphics.. “AD” (Alta Definicion) just looks weird IMO.
Miami HD news sets…
WTVJ — First in HD, along with WSCV. I’m guessing WTVJ still has that very out-dated set at the Miramar location. With the NBC-Comcast deal slated to be finalized by year’s end… hoping that WTVJ (and WSCV) could and might be looking at getting the NBC O&O inspired design by Clickspring Designs (something similar to that of WNBC, WCAU, or WRC).
WFOR — I believe CBS could have done somewhat better.
WSVN — Their set looks somewhat okay.
WPLG — Not all that crazy about their current news set at their Pembroke Park facility.
As for WLTV… They do have a very nice looking set indeed. The graphics look nice… theme music is okay.
