I’ve been told that WFOR’s new site, CBSMiami.com, is going to be unleashed soon(ish). A couple of weeks ago I was poking around and noticed miami.cbslocal.com had become active and its showing the WordPress.com admin login (CBS’ is using WordPress.com VIP for all owned station sites now) and some of you nosey people found that out as well, thanks for those messages.
CBSBoston.com just went live at the end of last month so WFOR isn’t far behind.
CBS4.com will be renamed to CBSMiami.com (although the site’s real address is http://miami.cbslocal.com), have a new 3-column design, and it will be the online home for both WFOR and WBFS, which is actually nothing new as WBFS hasn’t had a dedicated online presence in a long time. No radio station sites will be merged into the new portal like it is happening at other markets since CBS doesn’t own radio stations in Miami, though they do have five in West Palm Beach.
If you haven’t yet seen, hit up CBSBoston.com for a preview of what WFOR’s site would look like soon.
I use CBSNewYork.com quite frequently. It’s not bad. Far, far, far, far better than nbcnewyork.com or nbcmiami.com. But I was a pretty big fan of the old CBS sites (like is still present for CBS4). May not have been the most beautiful sites in the world but they were so functional. I don’t watch CBS4 when I’m in Miami but I still go to their site to get news.
