The Miami Herald is reporting the son of WPLG chief met Don Noe, 21 year old Matthew Noe, has been arrested on child porn charges. Images of child porn were found on his personal computer.
Apparently in April the cops raided Noe’s home and seized the computer. Matthew Noe was using LimeWire to download stuff, and told police he downloaded 30 images of girls between 10 and 17 years old. He’s out on $10,000 bond and will be arraigned September 29th.

I know some will ask if WPLG covered it – I don’t know I haven’t watched WPLG in days. But I did look at their web site and found nothing. That would be one awkward story to report though

I think this is a time for everyone’s thoughts to be with the Noe family. Such charges are very serious, and it is likely that the family will all need a lot of help getting through this.
Well, if the kid wants to be a sports writer, going to MDCC and working at Publix will not cut it.
to sfloridanews: the “kid” as you put it is earning money while going to college…what is wrong with that? what’s wrong with MDC? many people went there and earned a degree to move onto the university level or get jobs once the two year degree is earned….i’m sure the kid has bigger and better things but perhaps now he is just doing his requirements at the school..what do you want him to do?
BTW…MDC is now a 4 year college offering upper division bachelors program in Education and hopefully expanding into other fields soon.

Since when is someone who looks a pictures a pedophile? While it might indicate someone who probably needs to get some help, the word “pedophile” doesn’t enter in until action takes place.
Even one photograph of someone under the age of 18 is considered child porn and can send you away to prison for as long as 7 years in some states. Have you ever looked at porn online? Do you know the ages of everyone you looked at? Even if they looked older? Much older? No.
Haven’t seen Don on doing any hurricane stuff today………They just had John Giuraldi I think for the first time on Local 10. We thought here that was not going to happen but looks like he is there with the station now.
This other thing with Matthew Noe is his personal business.the guy is 21yyo and will deal with what he has too. I hope the famliy has all the support it needs.
If and when I do look at porn, I do so with the assurance that all models are at least 18 years old. The porn people must state that on their websites.
It’s always a little wierd when a tv personality is exposed as a real person with a family and personal problems. As far back as I can remember Don Noe has always just been there, delivering the weather on Channel 10. In all that time, I never once thought about him in a personal sense — even though I saw him in person once. He visited my elementary school when I was a student there about 20 years ago. I hope he and his family work this out neatly and quickly and move on with their lives outside the spotlight. I want to regain that impersonal image I had of simply “Don Noe with weather.”
