Brian Andrews and crew were sent to cover the hurricane in New Orleans. David Bernard who came to WFOR literally days before the hurricane hit has joined Brian over there. David has family and friends in the area who are thankfully all fine and doing well
They would make a cute couple.
i swear i thought the same thing
Is Brian & Bernard Gay?
Boy i would not mind having a 3some with the two of them
It’s absolute hell here. There’s no running water or a place to use the rest room. We’re cranking out a ton of packages each day and all you people can do on this board is talk crap. Next to 911, this is the biggest story of our lifetime: a tragedy. I welcome positive criticism or thoughts about what our team has been able to pull off since arriving last Saturday before the storm. The rest of you can take your postings and like Sally Fitz said after Andrew “stick it up your aparatus.”
3-sum: I wouldn’t even comment, you should go back to tvspy
Brian: good job on the coverage, shaved or unshaved. Nice to have David over there too, it certainly gives a startling perspective first hand from people who’re from the area
Brian..you are doing a great job..thanks and I saw your story about the lady amd her dog…I am sure she and her son thanked you and seeing her safe for you all, must have been so moving, but from a stranger..I THANK YOU!!!!!! Stay safe.
It was very moving. I took one look at her, her dog and thought I can’t leave her. She looked like my Grandmother. Plus, she was frail, hot, in need of her medicine, and I thought she was going to pass out. We did what any other human would have done. I grabbed her hand, her dog, and said lets go. I was so happy to know she was reunited with her son… who the trooper’s told me had feared she died because he couldn’t reach her for days. There are so many sad stories here… and so many emotionally uplifting ones of families who stuck together… and families who have just been united. I’m sure a good cry will be in order once I get home and decompress all of the images in my head. And thank you for your nice note. One of my colleagues in the newsroom just told me about this board and I was really pissed when I went to the site and saw the TRASH people were talking. This is one of the great tragedies in our lifetime. I’m glad to be here as a witness to history, and so proud to be an American as I watch those choppers land with people every hour at the airport, getting the storm victims out of a major U.S. city destroyed by a storm, that very well could have been Miami or Ft. Lauderdale. It’s just simply amazing. Pray for the people of New Orleans tonight, and be greatful for your power, your running water, and your health in South Florida.
Brian is right here folks. He and David are working hard, doing their jobs, and regardless of anything that may or may not be true about either of them (and I am saying that because like everyone here, none of us know anything about either one of their personal lives) the last thing they are thinking about is each other. They have a job to do, and in between doing that they are getting very little rest, and trying to keep their emotions in check. To say we can imagine what it is like is complete bullshit, so stop pretending. Compliment them on a job well done, and send them your best wishes.
To Brian & David: we wish you the best, stay safe, and come home when the time comes, we’ll be glad to have you back.
Brian,
Made it back in time today to see your piece on tonight’s news. Have been working late so I haven’t seen any in a while. Really great work man.
Stay healthy and safe. Be sure to rest, eat well when you can, and do your best to keep your wits about yourself.
Welcome back David. Glad you are safely home. Sorry for the losses of your friends and family.
