The Florida Public Broadcasting corporation has a new chairman familiar to South Florida news pros and anyone who worked at WTVJ pre-year 1993.
Richard Lobo, who is currently the President and CEO of WEDU in Tampa, was named Chairman of the Florida Public Broadcasting Corporation. Before going to WEDU, Lobo was the president and general manager of WTVJ presiding over the station’s award-winning Hurricane Andrew coverage in 1992. He was also a manager at WNBC as well as the NBC affiliates in Chicago and Cleveland.
