WSVN Donates $70,000 to Habitat House

1

Yesterday 35 employees from WSVN and Sunbeam Properties joined together to help build a house for Habitat of Humanity.

WSVN’s parent company Sunbeam Television and Sunbeam Properties donated more than $70,000 to cover the cost of the house.

Instead of sending holiday gifts to tenants and brokers Sunbeam Properties also donated the usual $10,000 they spend each year to Habitat for Humanity.

WSVN’s owners are big sponsors of Habitat for Humanity. If you’ve watched the station for any length of time no doubt you’ve seen the ads for Habitat’s thrift stores with Craig and Belkys. 7’s general manager Bob Leider is Habitat of Broward 1st Vice Chairman.

WSVN anchors, reporters and behind the scenes staff regularly volunteer on a Habitat home
