CBS4’s Eliott Rodriguez and Shomari Stone in a Rap Song

11

The voices of WFOR anchor Eliott Rodriguez and reporter Shomari Stone are on one Foxy Brown’s latest songs apparently.

Miami Herald’s Joan Fleischman reports that audio samples from a CBS4 newscast covering the release of rapper Foxy Brown from the North Broward County jail after her arrest in a fight at a Pembroke Pines beauty supply store were used at the beginning in one of her new songs:

Stone, heard first, says Foxy ”is led out of jail with her friend
escorting her to an awaiting cab.” Then, Rodriguez: ”New video just
released within the past several hours shows what led up to the arrest
of a popular rap star. Foxy Brown was just released after spending a
long night in jail.” Then you hear Foxy.

Eliott Rodriguez while amuzed says `I believe in artistic expression. I just wouldn’t let my kids listen to it.” The track no surprisingly is laden with profanities.

The Miami Herald says Foxy Brown’s label, Koch Records, used the sound bites without permission from CBS.

The name of the song is called ‘Brookly’s Don Diva’

  1. I can’t believe Foxy Brown sampled the live newscast. Wow. 99 Jamz’s Supa Cindy first broke this story on the Big Lip bandit morning show. Many blogs linked the story and TVspy.com posted it. I’m sure younger readers will begin reading J. Fleishman’s columns.

  2. Don’t you celebrity worshippers know this illiterate rapper is a criminal? Don’t you know she is a felon who has abused people? Don’t you know she stole the reporter’s audio without permission?

Who the hell listens to someone named Supa Cindy? Is she illiterate too?

If you were one of her victims I bet you wouldn’t be saying congrats. Maybe we’ll get lucky and she will attack someone else and get what she deserves. Lead poisoning!

  3. I remember Shomari Stone from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He had a news show and he was a reporter for the Michigan Daily. He was a nice guy. He worked and studied hard. I knew he would do well. GO BLUE Shomari!
