WSVN reporter and anchor Blake Burman is leaving for a great new gig! He joins FOX Business as their new Washington correspondent, taking over for Rich Edson who moves to FNC.
A Miami native, Burman joined WSVN way back in 2008 from WBBH, and in that time he’s gone from reporting general stories to covering most political stories for WSVN, including election coverage, and the inauguration of the Governor Scott and President Obama.
We can’t say we’re surprised to see Blake go on to bigger and better things, it really was only a matter of time before someone snagged him.
Look for him on FBN starting April 6.
FOX BUSINESS NETWORK SIGNS BLAKE BURMAN AS WASHINGTON CORRESPONDENT
Rich Edson moves to FOX News Channel
FOX Business Network (FBN) has hired Blake Burman from the FOX Miami affiliate station WSVN-TV. Starting April 6th, he will serve as a Washington Correspondent covering economic and political news from FBN’s bureau there.
A weekend anchor and reporter at WSVN, Burman covered issues relating to Miami businesses and politics. He joined the network in 2008 from WBBH-TV (NBC) in Fort Myers, Florida where he was a news reporter. Before that, Burman served as a weekend anchor and military reporter for KAUZ-TV (CBS) in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Burman replaces FBN’s Washington Correspondent Rich Edson, who will move to FOX News Channel (FNC) as a correspondent and remain in the Washington bureau. Edson joined FBN when the network started in October 2007 and was the first to report the details of the 2011 debt ceiling deal. Prior to this, Edson covered city and county government for WJCL/FOX 28 in Savannah, GA.
