Fox News host Bill O’Reilly will speak to and take questions from his radio and TV fans at George Washington University’s Lisner Auditorium next Friday  but he’s charging $20 for the privilege.
Sponsored by 106.7 WJFK, the FM station on which the combative populist is heard daytimes in D.C., “An Evening with Bill O’Reilly†consists of a speech at 6:30 p.m., followed by a Q&A session “during which WJFK listeners will have a chance to engage Bill about any subject,†says a release.
Tickets, available through Ticketmaster, are $20. A quick check reveals that service charges kick it up an additional $6.25.
Someone should remind O’Reilly that CNN’s “Crossfire,†which broadcasts every day from the GWU campus, admits its audience free. Now that’s populism.
