John Guaraldi Joins WFOR CBS4

john.guaraldi.wfor.weatherA familiar face is back on the air in South Florida.

Meteorologist John Guaraldi is now part of the WFOR CBS4 weather team as of this past Sunday. Most recently he was the weekend meteorologist at WPLG for seven years until he left the station January 2012. Guaraldi left WTVJ in summer 2005 to join WPLG after eight years there as a meteorologist.

  1. Glad to hear WFOR kept it smart and hired John Guaraldi to join their weather team since they are going to be down 2 by the end of this month, and Craig Setzer is recovering from his surgery. Now if they could just bring back Josh Benson back to their morning anchor team…they would be almost complete.

    • Not to mention that Lissette will be going out on maternity leave around the beginning of the year. WFOR weather will have almost a whole new look in a few months!

  2. Another qualified experienced meteorologist channel 10 let slip through their hands that they traded in for a ditzy cheerleader. They don’t call 10 the Haitian Station for nothing. I am sure they are #1 in Liberty City where viewers have no money to buy advertisers products.

  3. Poor guy.
He’s joining up with a dysfunctional news department.!
    Example?
The 11pm producer got fed up with management and QUIT this week two hours before the Wednesday 11pm show was to start!
What does that tell anyone about a newsroom that just can’t seem to get it’s act together year after year after year?
Is there yet another management change in the air?

  4. Good to see John Gerard again – what has he been doing? Still sorry that David Bernard is leaving!!!!!. Where is he moving to?Best of Luck to David.

  5. John Guaraldi is hilarious when he tries to pronounce an “R” at the end of a word. He is fighting that New England accent (but not very successfully!).

  6. CBS Miami is hiring WPLGs previous experts! Just noticed that Michael Smith is back in SoFLa and now with WFOR doing their weather on Weekend Evenings/Nights. Does this mean John is now on Weekday Evenings/Nights? WFOR needs to continue building their news team with a talented team, and I’m fine with them hiring those that WPLG left behind when they decided to go with their Hooter girls.

  7. Can someone please ask John Guaraldi to stop “singing” the weather. I have never heard an on air personality keep modulating his voice up and down the sound spectrum.

  8. Michael Smith is a horrible and boring weather Guy! The sound of his Voice puts me to sleep. Absolutely hate it! I miss David Bernard!
