  1. If the weekday program on CBS does not have a weather person, they used to have before they changed the hosts to Charlie Rose, Gayle King, etc. Why do they need one on Saturdays?

    • The weekday show relies on local weather anchors to do the weather bumps (I think they have a still weather map for stations which don’t do this) — there are probably more local stations that do not have weekend weather anchors, so they need to try to fill this time. Plus, they usually use the local NY CBS talent (Lonnie Quinn, former NBC-6 personality) do to the morning news, so it’s not a costly endeavor
