  1. That sucks. For the last year or so, he hasn’t been wearing his wedding ring. I wonder why he is leaving. Him and Ginger work well together.

  2. News of Keith Jones leaving WTSP for WTVJ comes as quite a surprise. Keith and Ginger seemed like a good pairing on WTSP’s morning and midday news… don’t know if he and Pam will be a good pairing on WTVJ’s morning and midday news. WTSP will have to find a new morning and midday co-anchor.

The only good Gannett-owned station would likely be KUSA Denver. The only good NBC O&O station would likely be WRC DC. We’ll have to see how Keith Jones does at WTVJ.

  3. He is overdue improvement. Why in the world would you promote
your part time fill in weather person, Trina Robinson, to an
anchor postion when she has a bad speech impediment? It is so
distracting you have to change the channel. Just listen to her pronounce the word “moisture”. Trust me I am not alone on this. I give her until the next sweeps period tops. Big
    mistake.

  4. Just4Fan, Trina is better than Jackie Nespral and a stronger journalist than her. Adam should go back and do sports or anchor weekend news. Both him and Jackie look lost. Julia Yarbough and Joel Connable should come back and be the face of NBC6. Jackie is nice in person but no one watches them. Horrible site to watch at NBC 6. After what they did to Ann Curry will no longer watch today show. Total disrespect and it was not Ann Curry ratings fault. The Today is not a news program and its getting boring.

  5. Is this what NBC6 thinks is the “New NBC6.” This guy Keith is boring and dry. I have watched him in Tampa and he puts me to sleep. Maybe they want the morning viewers or morning viewer to fall back asleep. He is dry and like watching paint dry.If I am wrong please tell me where I can see a charasmatic anchor. Maybe I have just seen him on bad days. As for who should eb anchoring at NBC6. No One. The station is dead. A friend of mine works in sales for them and said the 11pm barely gets half a rating point. That is failure. I would love to see Joel and Julia anchor together but Julia has basicaly left the Tv business forever. I hear Joel on the radio and see him on Fox News every few weeks talking about travel, so it looks like he’s not interested in coming back to the unflused toilet known as TV news. They always called NBC the Titantic.

  6. Yoi are all haters. Trina is the best journalist in all of Miami. She was offered network jobs with CBS news and, at one time, she was going to anchor the CBS early Show. She is amazing and I watch her closely everyday because she knows this town and can handle breaking news and weather. She needs to go to the network. We need stars like her. I love her new look too. Beautiful. I heard the 5pm is beating Channel 7 because of her. Take some of your own medicien WSVN.

  7. I doubt that Julia has plans to return to the TV news business anytime soon. It would be nice to see Kelly Craig… as well as Joel Connable back on WTVJ. To me, it seems that NBC insists on keeping Jackie Nespral, like she must be WTVJ’s “eye candy”. Pam Giganti and Sharon Lawson are very likeable talents too.

Speaking of NBC’s long-running Today show. I’m not very pleased with how NBC handled Ann Curry’s departure from the lead co-host position, and quickly naming Savannah Guthrie as her replacement. The day that Ann announced she’d be leaving Today, the show goes to commerical, and returns from commercial with Savannah sitting in her place… and that was very disrespectful. This coming on the heels of the recent dismissal of long-time WNBC anchor Sue Simmons. Ann is being scapegoated for the ratings drop… it’s really the NBC higher-ups and Today show producers that are truly to blame… and you’ve got some speculating that Matt Lauer may have been wanting Ann gone too. It remains to be seen if this shake-up could and might already be spelling opportunity for Good Morning America and CBS This Morning.

    • The Ann Curry situation was terrible. Certainly not a decision related to NBC-6 management, but this does not bode well for NBC-6’s early morning and midday shows which are bookends to the Today show.

Anyone have some actual ratings comparisons with 6’s new team, including Adam and Trina?

  8. Anything that Comcast is involved in is bound to turn into a disaster. 🙁
Unfortunately, I am stuck with them as my cable supplier. Time for competition in that industry.

  9. The one and ONLY reason I watched Ch 10 News (WTSP) was for Keith Jones. The Knuckleheads in management should have been grooming him for lead anchor and instead they let him go. I know the WTSP higher ups think the sun rises and sets on Reginald Roundtree but they have allowed many other talented newsmen to leave in frustration. Good Luck to Keith wherever you land. Will miss you here in Tampa
