  1. Set looks great. And if this means we can get rid of those awful caramel graphics (which I never was a fan of), great as well.

  2. WPTV’s news set looks very nice. I’m guessing that Scripps may have Rendron working on a new stations group graphics package. I could see WPTV’s new graphics being Blue in color… given that the Caramel colored graphics are going away. Hearst as already rolled out a new stations group graphics package, as seen on Orlando NBC affiliate WESH. If only Media General and Gannett would roll out new stations group graphics packages.

NBC gave WTVJ, and most other NBC O&O stations very nice looking sets by Clickspring.

As for WABC’s logo… theirs is the iconic ABC circle 7. KABC, WLS, and KGO have similar ABC circle 7 logos. WPTV has the circle 5 logo.

  3. New graphics are blue. They should debut tonight with the new set. It’s similar to the old blue from when WPTV first went HD

  4. The circle 5 in front of the desk needs to be smaller. the top of it shows up in a two shot. The monitor in the back is out of place, the shot has to be too wide when the use it for graphics over the anchors shoulder. They have to adjust the the graphics on it, last night it read “News hannel 5”

  5. Other than the new set, and the new Blue colored graphics… I’m wondering if WPTV kept the Scripps theme music, or switched to something different.
