The Dems had a good night on November 6, but as this picture on Twitter by @dt007 a.k.a. WSVN executive agent producer Darcy Tannebaum shows WSVN had good election night results themselves, so staying live for 7 hours straight paid off.
The station finished first in the key viewer demos beating national networks ABC, CBS and NBC. WSVN led election night coverage with a 4.7 rating among adults 25-54, nearly double that of NBC/WTVJ and CBS/WFOR. They were particularly strong with women 25-54 scoring a 5.6 rating and 3.7 rating points for men 25-54. One rating point for Miami/Fort Lauderdale equals to 16,211 households.
YES LOVE IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That’s surprising. I watched NBC, who I thought nationally did a great job, but the local coverage here was disappointing to say the least. I was getting upset every time they’d do local coverage, and then the fact that they threw to local right before the big announcement was made? Ugh, it was messy.
not really, they do well in general and pretty much are always most watched on election night
7 News did a great job with their coverage! I wonder how they would stack up the the cable networks now.
