WSVN Promotes Blake Burman

7

WSVN reporter Blake Burman can add anchor to his résumé. Burman is now the weekend evenings co-anchor of 7news splitting face time with Robbin Simmons. He takes over for Reed Cowan who left for LA this month.

Blake Burman joined WSVN in June of 2008 as a reporter from WBBH NBC2 in Fort Myers. This also isn’t his first time on the anchor chair, he filled in quite a bit for other anchors at WSVN and worked as a weekend anchor at KAUZ in Whichita Falls, Texas.

  1. He’s a good reporter but mediocre anchor. I don’t know what’s up with SVN. ALL of these new hires and promotions aren’t pushing the brand they are known for. They all have a uniformed look and they all report the same…no diversity. they’re ratings will drop. I’ve found myself watching more of PLG

  2. Blake is among the hardest workers and best writers at WSVN.
In the several weeks during the time after I gave notice to Alice of my intentions to leave 7, Blake knocked it out of the park filling in. Go Blake!

  3. I so agree with you Reed. I miss you by the way… But I love Blake too and the promotion is well deserved. He will be great just like every other time he has filled in. Congrats Blake!
