Debra Juarez, an executive and field producer at WSVN from 1983 to 1990, has been named news director for NECN,a regional cable news channel serving the New England area and owned by Comcast.

According to her LinkedIn profile, Debra Juarez ascended up the TV ranks fast. She left WSVN in 1990 to join Twentieth Television as managing editor and later spent 2 years at Telemundo. Then in 1993 Juarez became Vice President of News for Chicago Fox’s affiliate WFLX WFLD. She remained there for 12 years, until 2005, when she left the station and started her own production company DECA Productions.
