Palm Beach NBC affiliate WPTV and radio station ESPN 760 have announced a partnership that will bring more coverage of local high school football games to TV. According to the story on WPTV.com the two news outlets will spotlight a local high school football game every week on Thursdays. WPTV will provide the cameras and video of the match while ESPN 760 will have the live play-by-play broadcast on ESPN 760 radio and online. A new section on WPTV.com will offer even more coverage while those who didn’t catch the game in real-time will be able to catch up if they have Comcast OnDemand.
Fans and viewers will have the last word on which match up will become game of the week by voting online.
WPTV and ESPN760 already have an ongoing relationship when it comes to sports coverage, the sports segments on WPTV are anchored and produced by a team from the radio station.
