WFOR anchor Erika von Tiehl is leaving the station for a morning anchoring job in Philly. Come August she will be waking up at 2am in the morning every weekday to co-anchor the morning newscasts on KYW, the CBS-owned affiliate in Philadelphia and their CW station.
Quite the change, considering Erika has anchored the 5:30pm news on CBS 4 as well as the 10pm newscast on sister station WBFS My33, for the last three years
Erika von Tiehl joined WFOR in October of 2007 from WKBW in Buffalo, New York where she anchored the morning and noon newscasts.
Interesting development when you consider that new WFOR boss Cesar Aldama just came from KYW to head the station when Adrienne Roark left for KTVT in Dallas where CBS owns a station
