WSVN got the boot from Comcast systems in Palm Beach County completely not long ago, WPLG remained on but as of recently it seems with a caveat.
When ABC programming airs on WPLG it’s now blocked in Palm Beach County and replaced with a notice by Comcast that directs viewers to turn to local ABC affiliate “WPBF Channel 10”. Except WPBF is Channel 25
It also appears that WPLG may be completely off in at least some areas of Boca Raton. Several viewers complained on WPLG’s Facebook page they can’t watch the station in the Boca area. All of the Miami/Fort Lauderdale affiliate stations however are available on AT&T U-Verse

It’s not a mistake. WPBF is on CABLE channel 10 in Palm Beach County. WPLG is/was on cable channel 21.
Its soo stupid that they do stuff like that
In Tampa, Verizon offers WWSB ABC 7 from Sarasota on channels 7 (SD) and 507 (HD). Some of the syndicated programming is the same as is network programming. Cable only does it cause they are bound by Syn Ed rules.
WWSB isnt suppose to be using the Channel 7 virtual channel. They changed their branding because cable companies placed their station on channel 7 consistently. WWSB deliberately disobeyed FCC rules by using virtual channel 7 and got in trouble for it. They have since begun using 40.1 as their virtual channel. on Analog cable they still appear in SD on 7, digitally they are 40.1
I know but they use it as their on-air branding.
Was that screenshot taken in 1974?
They’ve dusted off a nice old character generator for that..
