Anderson Cooper Syndicated Show Coming to Palm Beach

3

Adweek reports the new daytime talk show CNN anchor Anderson Cooper is slated to launch next year has been picked up by Hears-owned WPBF in Palm Beach for their line up. Cooper’s show will launch in September of 2011. It appears that as of now there are no Miami affiliates who’ve signed on to carry the show.

  1. Anderson Cooper is one of the most standup type guys in the news business. I think it is a big mistake that no Miami station will be showing it (yet). Why do we need to see “recycled” episodes of the Housewives on WTVJ? Do we really need sleazy Jerry Springer and Maury Povich shows?

  2. who cares. Cooper wouldn’t play we in a town like Miami. Plus he’s a little dry by Miami standards.
Why pay for syndicated programming that wont resonate with the audience? Cheaper to do more news.

  3. Anderson Cooper is an over hyped marketing creation. Everything he has touched has been a ratings loser. He has never had a successful newscast on CNN. Joyce Bahar on Headline News gets better ratings than Cooper. If he is so great why doesn’t anyone watch?

Now he is going to do an afternoon show for women who are sitting on their butts watching TV in the middle of the day? Good luck. The Miami stations are smart not going with the next ratings disaster.
