2008 could be considered the year when the local stations in this market woke up and found the blog en masse. Perhaps in large part because of the presidential election but nonetheless we saw WFOR ad a dozen or so blogs (David Sutta’s blog is really interesting by the way), as did WPLG and even WSVN. WTVJ had a little edge with the most blogs but they too managed to get more on-air talent to start blogging.
So now WPBT, after jumping in the social media fray with their uVu social media site last March, joined the blogosphere.
Recently the station added two blogs to its website. One isĀ the uVu blog trackingĀ the latest videos added to uVu as well as news and information from the local arts and entertainment happenings around the area.
The other is Impromp2, WPBT’s official blog which focuses on community and station news.
I’m also told that uVu will be sort of re-launched in March of this year with a lot more social networking and video sharing features (embedable flash?).
Welcome to the blogosphere Channel 2.
You can find WPBT Channel 2’s blogs and all of the other local station’s blogs by following this link or clicking above on the Local Station Blogs tab
Looks like uVu has that wild video of Dr. Kevorkian at NSU last week. Pretty weird stuff must have been interesting to be there live
