The inauguration was today, and we now have a new president! After 78 hours of commercial free non-stop coverage, i think i want to watch some reality trash-TV right about now. What did we all think about the coverage?
Don’t be shy, talkback, and get involved. Comment below.
I was surprised NBC 6 brought back the news at 5 for this special day, and Nick Bogert’s reports have been excellent.
I agree. NBC6 had th ebest coverage by far. Joel and Jackie were excellent and they made the coverage fun and interesting.
NBC-6 tends to rise to the occasion on days like this. Their political reporting is always spot on, and I really enjoyed their coverage.
I would love to hear how CBS-4 did with Michael Williams – another highly talented political reporter in my opinion…
NBC Network dumped out of coverage at 5… the option was to either simulcast MSNBC from 5-6p, or fill it with local programming. So that’s the choice that was made. Personally, I would’ve preferred to have the parade on… instead of local stories you were going to see all night long.
I was tired of the coverage after the swearing in ceremony. Having to see pictures of politicans talking to each other after Obama was sworn in was not that interesting to me. Plus I had errands to take care of but later in the afternoon when the parade was going on I tuned back in.
Funny how WSVN went with CNN coverage instead of Fox News!?
Local coverage was all good but with I personally prefered NBC6’s and WSVN’s. Micheal Williams was good as alwats too.
WPLG’s coverage was a joke. Leave the best political reporter in South Florida history (Michael Putney) at home for the biggest positive American story in 40 years? And if he wouldn’t have wanted to go, how about sending Glenna Milberg, a pretty darn good reporter in her own right?
Another good reporter, Mark Joyella, was wasted in what was obviously an attempt by Slash-and-Burn Boylan and Pohovey to cover this inaugural on the cheap. Joyella and the people he went with didn’t deserve their misfortune, but the two jokers who run Channel 10 sure did.
