  1. hmm, Keith has him whipped. His experience at WPLG is not that of South Florida. The Washington Post Company is a VERY conservative organization. So it is no surprise that they wouldn’t agree with this lifestyle. Fort Lauderdale, however, is like the gayest place (and I mean that in the best possible way) in the USA, even more so than San Francisco. Westport may be more discreet, but it sure sounds like one really really really boring place to live. Good luck with that Mrs Reinhard.

    And remember, WSVN has two OUT anchors anchoring their main newscast, the only same sex orientation duo in probably the world that anchor together. So this was definitely a WPLG thing.

  2. I gotta agree with “enough already” jeez this guy is an attention whore!

    He needs a shirt that says “look at me”

  3. I never liked him on tv, nothing personal, but I just felt that after his stint on the Real World as someone’s bf and then his talk show, that all he wanted was to be in front of the cameras, and I never looked at him as a serious journalist. Never understood how he replaced an icon like Dwight Lauderdale.

    But I wish them well, Conn. is a great place to live.

  4. So if Charles is getting married and his partner will be the husband, does this mean he’s the one that gets it up the………? Diego, please clarify this to us straight guys !

    • Mitch, I sincerely hope that your attitude towards the homosexual community is different in real life, than it is from behind a computer. You of all people should know that 2/3 people who contribute to this blog are Gay. I’m not fully blaming you; Diego has it coming. A lot (not all) of what Diego does is part of the reason why heterosexual community fears Gays. He asks for a lot of the shit you give him. Just saying’, not all of the homosexual community is like Diego. Most who meet me in person, can’t tell that I’m Gay unless I tell them.

      Homophobia is, like, SOOO 1998. 😉

  5. MITCHELL,

    Thanks,

    Well first of they have in the gay world top, bottom or versatille men.
    Bottom = recieves
    Top = gives
    Versatille = Gives and recieves
    so they like it both ways

    However just because he is getting a husband doesn’t mean he takes it up the blank.
    They say don’t judge a book by it’s cover. I mean sometime big nelly queens can surprise you. I personally think Charles is a Top.
    I think he is sexy Charles Perez give me a call if it does not workout. I would never shut the door on you.

    Whatelse you wanna know

    Mitchell

    Did I answer your question. If not let me know and ill get into more detail.

  6. This stud will never stay faithful to Charles. Look at him, there is obviously a big age difference. I read somwhere online that Charles will stay in CT, while the BF will commute from CT to Miami because of his job.
    Charles is full of himself, and personally as a gay man, his behavior is an embarrassment.

  7. MITCHELL,

    You are to much. There is no set rules sometimes the more fem one’s like myself lol pay. Sometimes the real men pay. I mean it just depends on the individual relationship. As for condoms I would say they both have there own. I mean come on any guy I have met has there’s and I always bring mine. This is 2009 andnobody should depend on the other person to bring the condoms.

    Anymore questions?
    Mitchell??????

  8. I must say no matter how much u hate WSVN /CH7 you have to give them props. I mean unlike WPLG the suit at WSVN are not up tight about having there main anchors being gay. I mean yeah u may find there coverage tabliod or u may hate Craig or Belkys. Lets give them a cheer for not caring what there anchors or reporters sexual prefence is.

    Yay WSVN / CH 7

    YESSSSS BELKYS

  9. Well…I don’t dislike ch 7 for their gay anchors, although I can’t stand Lynn Martinez who is straight. It their constant “breaking news”, “news alert” and graphics bold enough for a blind person to see. If it bleeds, it leads …is ch 7’s motto I couldn’t stand Sally Fitz or Rick “my sleeves are rolled up to show I’m down to earth” Sanchez either and they are straight also. I’m an equal opportunity hater…lol….

  10. Diego, you sure are saying “Depend” alot……could their be a problem your hiding from us? You wouldn’t want it to “leak” out.

  11. Several gay tv people, including Ann Bishop hide their gay lifestlye for their entire career. Brian Norcross has never came out, has he?

  12. Channel 7 was and is a cesspool because of their over-stylized, hollow content and their insistence on putting incompetent buffoons in front of the camera (read Belkys Nerey). When really good people get to 7, they get out (right now, Reed Cowan is too good and should be gone soon). Gay or straight doesn’t matter. Except to clowns like Diego, of course. Your commentary consistently offends me because your flaming horsecrap makes it more difficult for my gay friends to live their lives in peace. The stupid people who elected Bush think you are the norm in the gay community, while the truth is that most gay people are pretty darned ordinary. Some people just need attention that much, I suppose.

    • chuck, when are you going to get it through your head! What you say doesent matter. If you ran the news, it would be full of old people talking about boring things and it wouldnt make any money. I know you have WSVN, but…..THEY MAKE MONEY. If they make money, it works and is the RIGHT way. No matter what you say.

      • People who keep score strictly based on money are known as prostitutes. Oh, and GB, I do watch the news, so maybe you should stop yakking and think about what the audience wants. Your posts are consistently as vapid as Diego’s.

  13. CHUCKIE,
    I am ready to read you now.

    Let’s get it straight I am Gay and have been Gay since I can remember. I can tell u have grown up with Gay people and hang with Gay people mostly and they are all outrageous. I mean I know very few gays who are not outrageous. I mean we are not all walkin around in make up and pumps. However we are not all sitting on a farm either. We are a unique group of people. I think Chuckie instead of telling me how Gay people are or what they are you should worry about you straight life and getting it together first. I mean just because u have 2 Gay friends doesn’t make you a expert on our world. Chuckie, stick to your life and your world and getting that messed up place fixed.

    how you doin!!!!!

    • Diego, Estupido, I have more than 2 gay friends. What you missed is the fact that when people watch news the broadcaster’s orientation should not matter. It didn’t with Ann Bishop, nor with all the other real professionalsin the business. I am sure you know very few gays who are not outrageous, because you are an embarrassment to them. But that’s OK. There are straight jackasses too. Stupid has nothing to do with sexual preference, but as Ron White says, you can’t fix stupid.

    • woah woah woah. Speak for yourself, chicka. I, nor my partner, are even close to being outrageous. We’re just two guys who happen to be gay.

      that comment is why we’re not allowed to legally marry.

      • I apologize for not being clear. My point was that the insistence on being the focus of everyone around is why less subdued people of all preferences likely avoid Diego. I didn’t mean to paint with such a broad brush. I wish you peace, Alex. If you can tell one thing from what I post, it’s that I could give a crap what these media people do in their private life. Being straight would not make Belkys Nerey any better at her job, and it has nothing to do with why I find her on-air personality so annoying. Diego keeps blurring the line between competence and personality, and I find that attitude hopelessly ignorant. By the way, Mitch, my place is decorated perfectly–with no outside help! Now back to the news–please!

  14. I bet Diego’s place is decorated perfectly !!!! I’ve worked with gays, had them live next door to me too. never a problem. I kidded with them, just the way I’m kidding with Diego. Now, How did I know Chuck voted for Obama instead of McCain and “you bectha” ? Diego, you do have a tendency to get your feathers fluffed up a bit, I’m sure Chuck meant nothing other then you do get a little overly excited sometimes.

  15. For all of you posters that just can’t get enough of CP, he’s written an op-ed piece appearing in a Miami Herald near you today.

    I think that certain posters should re-read their replies before posting them and perhaps consider leaving out hateful and bitter personal remarks directed at other posters. lighten up!

      • You could say the Herald “stopped delivering” a long time before that pretty much everywhere. It’s a joke. The Miami Herald is mostly a real estate holding company today. I just pay for their company newsletter to be delivered daily.

    • And it too will soon be printed out of the Tribune Companys printing facilities at Hillsborough Blvd. Currently the Sun Sentinal, NY Times, USA Today, and the Palm Beach Post are all printed there.

      • I guess we can add all of Scripps Treasure Coast Newspapers and The Palm Beach Daily News to that list printed in broward also.

        And if any of you look at the Palm Beach Post, I have a column in there on Sundays.

    • A nice little trick that the Herald recently started (I first noticed this this past weekend, but it probably started earlier)–instead of printing a Saturday edition, they put out an early bird Sunday edition on Saturday, all the Sunday extras are there and they have generic main/local/sports sections with stories from Friday. Upside is the readers get the Sunday extras on Saturday (including the coupons and weekly ads). But that (probably) isn’t why the Herald is doing this, the real reason most likely is, since it is a Sunday edition, the Herald gets to charge the Sunday price of $1.50 on 2 days instead of one. I guess they do what they need to do in these troubled economic times.

  16. WTVJ used Skype at least 2 years ago WPLG is just catching up. They even had it in their Hurricane Hummer where Hank Tester reported live as they drove in the keys during past storms.
