On NBCMiami’s main Twitter account every so often a tweet will be followed by another one that is only a link leading directly to an advertisement. The most recent one that you see in the screenshot above sent me to a page with fake search “results” which are actually all paid ads.
First of all it’s pretty cheesy to do such a thing… and possibly a violation of the terms of agreement with Twitter…
I guess they didn’t read the small print.
That’s really pathetic! It was only a matter of time before they took advantage of this tool and monetized it. Shame!
