Someone at AVSForum Miami says:
You can expect NBC6 to begin broadcasting the local news in high definition any day now. The cameras have been operational (in SD mode) for a while now, an HD makeup artist was hired, and final modifications to the sets are underway. I’m told that the on-air talent is looking forward to the transition to HD broadcasting, and special segments are being planned.
Has anyone seen any promos on 6 indicating HD is coming?

Must be another rumor….i haven’t watched any promos of TVJ; just the usual digital tv transition add campaing in 2009. plus if they were to go HD “Any Day Soon” they would’ve been broadcasting scandalous promos of HD coming to NBC6 as it has happened in other markets, and to make things a little bit longer, yeah….! HD finally…! but, have any of you guys seen WMAQ HD gfx intro on youtube? they’re boring….so expect to see that on TVJ.
I SAID IT! Ha!
If WTVJ should be going HD, and viewers are not seeing HD promos… NBC may want to take viewers and the competition by surprise, by pulling a fast one.
If WTVJ is going HD soon… I hope it could come with new HD graphics, and the current news set getting modifications. Maybe some new theme music perhaps. WSFL (CW 39) newscast being included in the HD overhaul.
