Howard Finkelstein better known to most for his appearances on Help Me Howard helped keep a guy from jumping to his death for the second time in 10 years.
At 9am on March 28 Paul Gausman walked into the Publix store on Andrews Ave. and handed one of the clerks a note saying he’ll jump from the nearby 4-story parking if she didn’t call WSVN.
At 10:30 Howard Finkelstein, a Broward public defender and legal analyst for WSVN’s Help Me Howard segment, arrived at Publix went up on the roof of the parking garage and in about a minute talked Gausman from jumping.
In 1998 Gausman climbed the 30-story Autonation Tower and threatened to jump unless he could talk to someone by the name of Howard Finkelstein because he had helped him somehow.
Gauseman was taken to Broward General for evaluation.

Correction, he’s the WSVN Legal Analyst.(:
fixed 😉
He’s actually the official legal analyst for SVN, like if they had a legal question, they’d go to him. But, you worded it fine. (:
Talk about “Help Me Howard.” Eh?
