Yvonne’s last day on the air is this Friday.

  1. Too bad. I was hoping to see more of Yvonne when that dumber-than-a-box-of-rocks Jen Herrera goes on maternity leave soon.

  2. WOW. The departure of Yvonne Nava is a big loss for WPLG. She is a good journalist and anchor. More importantly, she’s a nice person. She will be missed 🙁

  3. It doesn’t take a press release to figure that out. Jen hasn’t done any stand-up reporting on the morning news for months. And one look at her on the noon news will tell you that either she is expecting, or has gone on the Robert DeNiro Raging Bull Diet.

  4. Breaking news such as there is traffic on the Palmetto Expressway during morning rush hour would seem to reflect jen’s news gathering skills set. Of course, if times get tough, she can always go back to her prior life & star in another commercial for Folgers.

  5. Am i the only one that thinks she may not return, She has always seemed like a bit of a flake and I think she doesnt know the luck she has had by knowing the right people . I mean I was really surprised when jen took over the Noon news. I have always thought that she lacked talent and personality.

  6. Jen will definitly return after maternity leave….I for one think she has really come a long way and continues to perfect her reporting skills…..As far as having connections to get the opportunity she has that’s what the world is like….nothing wrong with tapping into your resources if it leads you to what you ultimately want to achieve.
