Insiders say Pamela Wright is leaving WFOR and the TV biz. Jeff Beradelli from WCBS is taking her spot in the mornings.

I have always liked Pamela Wright, I watched her at WSVN, I watched her in LA but didn’t catch her much on WFOR because I never watch CBS in the morning.
Good Luck to her in her new life! She is a class act and very funny lady.
David Bernard is now the weeknight guy, while Mr. Norcross enjoys his forecaster emeritus status. There isn’t really a bad weathercaster in this market right now. At least no one I have to turn off.
I gotta get some sleep, my apologies. I’ve seen Setzer, Jeff Taylor, Erin Coakley, I don’t think they have one permanent assignee for the weekends. I also think Tom whatzisname who left 7 had been coming over to fill-in on weekends, though I think he is actually in Fort Myers during the week. I am so glad the networks bought stations in this market and ruined everything.
Someone opened Pandora’s Box here and it’s an interesting issue.
I think Ch 4 gives Ch 7 a run for their money in terms of an all gay staff. Ch 10 is runner up. Nothing wrong with being gay, but in a world where the newsrooms are supposed to reflect the community and all that multi-cultural nonsense the number of openly gay staff is way out of whack with the community they serve.
The longest standing joke in TV news is that if you want to advance you should say you are homosexual even if you are not. Ch 4 news director is frightened and threatened by heterosexual men and hates them, hence the reason so much of the staff is gay. I dare say she discriminates.
Any straight people in the 4 newsroom could back this up.
I think David Bernard is a sexy sexy man. So is Jeff Taylor. I saw him in person and I was like wow.
Shouldnt matter though if you are gay, straight or taken, but you should look good and do a good job.

I would not care if the Wilton Manors all-boy choir was hired to do the news, just give me people who know how to spell “dietitian” and can tell the difference between north Miami and North Miami and I’ll watch. I am tired of inarticulate uninformed so-called reporters of all sexual preferences, and I will point out that Brian Norcross probably saved hundreds of lives during Andrew. No one really cared that once a year he’d report live from Fantasy Fest. Just promise me you’ll throw us straight guys an occasional Elita Loresca and I’ll be quiet. BTW, I still think if she wasn’t nice, it wouldn’t matter how beautiful she is.

But good people get out and flourish under better circumstances–Laurie Jennings, Pam Giganti, Beatriz Canals, Rick Chambers–and look who flounders–Rick Sanchez. True, he’s got a pretty decent place at CNN for now, but how long can that last? If Keith Olbermann makes fun of him, I must have him well-pegged. Currently, I keep saying Christine Cruz from AM should be next to be liberated, along with Vanessa Ruiz, Nicole Linsalata and Dave Kartunen. I watch everyone so I know what I’m complaining about. Incidentally, former AM weather doll Amy Murphy was just in the news. She was Richard Jeni’s girlfriend, and made the 911 call to report he had shot himself. She is in LA now, and keep a good thought for her. Jeni was incredibly talented, and God only knows how she must be hurting right now.

I know that she did the weather on the CBS Morning Show a few times over the past several months. I wonder why she would leave the business entirely as opposed to getting a job in another market.

PAMELA WRIGHT IS WITHOUT QUESTION THE CLASSIEST LADY ON ANY OF THE MORNING NEWS TEAMS. SHE IS BEAUTIFUL, WITTY, DRESSES LIKE A LADY SHOULD, AND DEFINES THE WORD “CLASS”. I HOPE SHE FINDS WHAT SHE IS LOOKING FOR IN LIFE.
I love Pamela. I watch MY33 and CBS4 every morning and she’s a huge part of it. I’m a mom and she would throw in the mom point of view on a story when I felt like saying the same thing. She is funny and speaks in a way I never heard any one speak. She could make nonsense words flow fluently in a sentence. With Angela gone and now Pamela, I don’t want to watch any more. I like George, but Pamela made them funnier.
I am so sad that ALL the UPN 33 newscasters have changed!! I still miss Angie Rae and NOW Danille Knox is off on maternity leave and the entire team is gone. I will RELLY miss Rebacca Wright’s smile and easy going ways!! How sad change is!! I hope she is doing well.

So Jeff Beradelli from WCBS2 will be joining CBS4. With the exception of Craig Setzer, that will now mean an all gay weather staff.
CBS4 is truly becoming South Florida’s gay news station!
