So in other words (i hate a lot of numbers, they make me headaches) PLG is #1, SVN #2, and LTV #3.
Don’t forget WTVJ…..#0!!!!
No, WSVN just smells like #2. And if Elita leaves…
Look at Ch4’s 6&11 numbers and you know that Maggie R had no impact whatsoever. If you blame anchors for ratings (most do) her leaving could possiblly be seen as a plus. I can’t believe they tied WJAN. I have never even head of this station and they are beating a CBS owned station? They couldn’t even hold on to stronger lead ins. They have “The Oprah” and that doesn’t even help. They could put American Idol before one of their newscasts and they will still manage to scare the audience away.
Ch4 has always been a small market station in a big market. No amount of flashy graphics or chopper shots or mindless sweeps stories pulled out of women’s fashion mags will change that.
PLG is ahead of WSVN and its allllllll because of the Mega Hottie Jen Herrera. There is no debating the fact that they jumped over WSVN because of her bright airplay and the fact that she “SMOOKING HOTTTT”. Congrats Jen…now make sure they give you a raise! 🙂
Da Commish of WSVN Chicks Board
Are you kidding?? You are an idiot. Jen works mornings you moron where PLG is NOT number one. The Laurie/Dwight combo is the reason for 10’s success. In the land of educated people..experience and credibility gets viewers.. not hotness.
Its clear the best duo in South Florida is Laurie and Dwight. Some how 7 keeps knocking on the overall #1 spot, but that wont happen until Belkys Nerey leaves the chair. That obviously will not happen since here talent will not take her anywhere else.
It will be interesting to see who replaces Maggie. Beatrice seems like the logical choice to me.
7 is #1 in the mornings and has been for a long time. If I’m not mistaken they had 3.5 or 4 ratings WPLG was 2.3-ish these sweeps
OkBJones…maybe your looking at the number differently from me… but isnt the 6a – 2a the morning slot??? And if so isnt 3.8 better than 3.5
LOL
up here in west palm beach our cable campany used to carry wsvn ch7 then they stop carry it but its still carries wplg ch10 i watch ch7 news a lot up here belkys is a bad anchor . they need to but somebody else as the leader anchor maybe they should but lynn martinez there
7’s model doesn’t depend on anchors. They are completely expendable to them…that’s why they promoted Belkys in the first place…cheap and it doesn’t matter if she is good or not. It’s all about the overall presentation, not the personalities.
All stations here start at 5 am. Those numbers are a bit misleading and don’t take into account the entire first hour. Not a huge fan of SVN but they are number one overall in the a-m’s.

The 6a – 2a number is what’s referred to as sign-on to sign-off. It’s an indicator of who’s watched most overall. It’s way more than just the morning shows.
CBS 4 Reporter Shomari Stone was praised for at least 20 minutes on the “Schnitt Show,” a syndicated, moderately conservative talk-show.
South Florida affiliate station 610 WIOD airs the show from 3:00pm to 6:00pm, Monday – Friday. On average, host Todd Schnitt has an estimated 800,000 listening audience across the country after scoring a huge deal XM Satellite radio.
On Monday, May 21, 2007 at approximately 4:00pm, The Schnitt Show began praising Shomari Stone.
Schnitt said, “I have to give credit where credit is due. I have to highlight this individual. I am taking the time to reach out to a reporter, Shomari Stone, in Miami, he’s a CBS 4 WFOR reporter. Shomari did a news story on Global Warming. Instead of asking Hurricane Expert Dr. William Gray about hurricanes, he did a story about how Dr. Gray says humans are not causing global warming.†“Shomari Stone dared to expose the other side. He had the cahoonays.”
“I have no idea what Shomari’s position is personally. I have no idea. But you’ve got to hand it to him for presenting the other side of the story. A rarity. He’s good….good job Shomari. I appreciated the diligence that you put into the report. Now we stuck the whole link. It’s up on our website if you want to see this thing at schnittshow.com.
If you go to schnittshow.com, the left nav bar, you’ll see Global Warming, at the top of the page. Click on that. Then it will be way at the bottom. We have a 166 links now. And you can watch the actual video piece. Spread that around.
Finally, mainstream media, has a Dr., a professor that says, wait a sec, not so fast, on this anointed reason that’s been shoved down our faces. That’s all I ask for. Is just the other side of the debate. I’m not saying Al Gore should not present his stuff in an inconvenient truth. I just like both sides of an issue presented. Fantastic report. Finally I can’t tell you the last time I saw something like that. I don’t think it’s been done.”
