Today is Elita’s last day at WSVN. She said her goodbyes this morning on 7 but you’ll be able to catch one last look at her at noon.

Let me be the first to say “see you in LA” (I am bad at goodbye; sounds so… final). Count me among the many many fans who are going to miss Ms. Loresca. I always appreciated Elita doing the weather in those early hours of the morning with a non-irritating voice, speaking in plain simple English at a pace that I could follow easily when trying to wake up in the morning. Yes, Elita is a beautiful woman, but that’s just icing on the cake, and isn’t that now a REQUIREMENT for local weather in Miami?. I know for a fact that she is a sweet person and was very active in the Miami community. Her pleasant (without grating or being overly sugary) manner is what I’ll miss most. I wish her nothing but the best in her future endeavours….
Either Christine Cruz was loosing her voice at noon or she was a little choked up about Elita leaving. i think the three girls in the morning made a great team and definitly were a great sound to wake up to in the morning. i wonder if Elita and Jackie Johnson who is also in LA will be competing with each other now 🙂

That makes the last 3 WSVN morning weathergirls (Amy Murphy, Jackie and now Elita), who are now working in L. A. (and of course, Amy’s predecessor, Pamela Wright, was in L. A. before returning to CBS 4 and now leaving the business). I wonder if Vivian Gonzalez is making her reservations for L. A. for sometime in 2010. 🙂
Sad, sad day for me. Elita was one of the reasons I was able to get up and going in the morning.
I was so sad to hear that Elita was leaving. Ever since her first report my family and I have gotten up every morning to hear from her. I loved to see what outfit she would be sporting for the day, because she is so beautiful. I hope the fact that she was voted Sexiest News anchor had nothing to do with her leaving. That was part of the reason we loved her. She wasn’t just another “mom” informing you before you head out for your day. Elita will be sorely missed. I hope LA appricates her as much as we did.
Is Amy working in L A now. The reason she left here was to be closer to her family in Arizona. Then she got married (Amy Brooke) and I do not see her listed in Arizona.
Channel 7 should start honoring these talented weather babes that grace the green screens.
I think they ought to donate all Ch 7 weather babe’s breast implants to the Smithsonian so that future generations can see what it really took for these female pioneers of TV weathercasting to be successful and what they had to go through.

Just saw Ms. Loresca here in SoCal. She is indeed very attractive and does have a professional demeanor on KNBC4; as does Jackie J. on the competing KCBS2/KCAL9. Miami is a very good training ground. Thank you for your contributions to LaLa land.
I saw Ms. Loresca at a local grocery store. Man… she is a sexy woman. Television does her no justice.
