  1. thank God that dave whackoff is leaving…his wife is a really good photographer and nice lady, though..

now if we could only get rid of shomari stone, all would be good with the world…

  2. Sorry to see Jennifer go. She was good eye-candy. Here’s hoping she gets back into acting. Who know’s In sure Hef and the fellas will see her back at the mansion.

  3. “Dave Whackoff?” What are you talking about?

Dave is one of the most talented, creative, reporters in the Miami news market. I’m sorry to see him go.

Insider, you must feel good to anonymously submit hateful comments about reporters. You know what I love?

I love how Dave and other reporters who you all consistently bash, continue to succeed in their careers, renew their contracts with bigger pay, while losers like the “Insider” continue to hate. Get a life.

  4. ????? ccc229 are you on drugs? those two look nothing alike in person or on camera. they are both young though 😉

  5. I wonder is Jennifer will use her stage name Santiago or go back to her real name which is Clurman.

Someone find and post the parakeet pics!

  6. Dave Malkoff is amazing. He’s comfortable, creative, energetic and he’s also something that’s especially rare in this business, he’s sincere. No surprise he’s going to LA. Miami’s loss.

  7. Yes, Joel Connable came here from Los Angeles. So did Julia Yarbourough They both worked as a staff reporters and anchor at KCBS and KCAL. Dave Makoff will be in for a big surprise. He took a per diem, meaning part time reporting gig at KCBS. KCBS is notorious for hiring per diems and then firing them. LA will be a tough market for him if he is not staff. Staff reporters out there can make around 150 or 160 thousand per year. Per diems barely break 80 if they get 4 days a week. Life is hard on 80 thousand in LA. Hopefully, I am wrong and he got a staff job out there.

  8. Man…shame on you ccc229! What makes you think you can dog anyone? I was a reporter for 10 years, and had to deal with retards like you! Do you even know what it’s like in this business? No, you probably don’t, because those in the industry know how hard it is to make it and tell good stories. Your going to tell me that either person you dogged from WFOR is a bad story teller? Grow up! It sounds like your a bit jealous of both of their success! Here’s an idea, go beat on your wife and kids, kick the dog and waste a few more hours on your recliner, and leave these hard working people alone! You make me sick!

  9. grap459, what is your problem? Who did I “dog” at FOR? I confess to being rough on SVN, but I haven’t dogged anyone at FOR. Check your meds, will ya pal?

  10. Upon review, it looks like GRAP459 took the comments before mine in this string. Someone dogged Dave Malkoff and Shomari Stone, which I would never do. Perhaps you should check your meds and get your eyes checked too, GRAP.
P.S.: If Pamela Wright is really leaving, I will be very, very sad. She is sharp as a tack, quite beautiful and a prime example of first-rate talent escaping from SVN. God I’ll miss her!

  11. Well, that’s great if he is astaff reporter at KCBS. Unfortuantely, I have friends who work there and he won’t be able ot tell great stories. They require all reporter to do minute 10 packages and that’s it. They don’t like nat sound or anything more than just the basic story. But, he will be able to cover real breaking news, something Miami doesn’t really have or doesn’t really cover very well. KCBS has two choppers and some of the best photographers in the business.

  12. NBC Insider for your information:

Dave is a full time General Assignment reporter at KCBS in LA. In addition, KCBS’ news director hired Dave because she appreciated and valued his unique, creative, story telling ability. It’s described as “refreshing.”

    NBC Insider submitted:

“They require all reporter to do minute 10 packages and that’s it. They don’t like nat sound or anything more than just the basic story,”

Next time do your reasearch. Here’s an idea. How about give Dave a call at FOR, rather than type unconfirmed comments.

I’m sure your so called friends who work at KCBS weren’t in on the countless meetings and phone calls over the last several months, which were required for Dave’s agent to score the great deal him.

For the record, Dave has always wanted to report at KCBS. He achieved his life long dream. Congratulations Dave! You’ll be missed.

  13. It’s nice to hear that another young energetic reporter is coming out to Los Angeles. Joel Conable was the last creative, great live reporter KCBS had and we miss him very much. I don’t know this Dave guy but I wish him luck. KCBS is a machine though, just like all the stations out here. NBC Inside is right. They churn out stories lacking creativity. That is why Joel ultimately left, because once you are a GA reporter out here, you are always a GA reporter and your income stays pretty much the same. 100 thousand doesn’t go very far in Los Angeles. But, good luck to the new guy and can you guys send Joel back this way so we can have two great reporters at CBS again?
