  1. Wow!! I liked her alot! She really explained everything very well. Especially during the hurricanes and they were giving instructions on where to go. She was a very good reporter. Any idea where shes going to go?

  2. WSVN.com, if I am guessing right is load-balanced on 2-3 servers, hence the www1, www2 etc and perhaps when the servers sync it doesn’t update some parts of the site correct.

I just checked and www, www1 and www2 all have Lynn Gordon’s bio removed

  3. I never heard the term “load-balanced” before, but it obviously means the same thing as backing up the main server, by copying the data onto a secondary server. But to be honest, the I.T. department at any business better know what the hell they’re doing. I had a situation where my work-station wasnt mapped to the correct server. I dont remember enough of the specifics, but I’m taking a guess that the error occured when my computer crashed. I.T. gave me a replacement computer, and the replacement computer was mapped to the old server. I was looking at a spreadsheet, and wondering “hey, wheres all my saved data?” But that worries me. Even if I was mapped to the wrong server, why didnt the server I was on, have the same updates? I dont know. But remember what they say in the restaurant business: remember to tip your server!

  4. you can look up load balancing on google and see what it means.

You’re mistaking servers with computers I think 🙂

In your case at work, that’s not load balancing, your computer is just a workstation linked to a central computer to connect to the internet and to allow your sys admins to push Windows updates, or any other updates, to all workstations in your office instead of hopping from one computer to the other. Your spreadsheet was toasted along with your computer because it resided on your computer not at the server

  5. I was sent the article about Lynn Gordon’s trouble with the law. I was the executive news producer at WPBF TV 25 in West Palm when we hired Lynn Gordon. She was a no-nonsense reporter. She was very good at telling the news to TV 25 viewers. Lynn was part of the original staff that opened up WPBF TV in 1989. Since we all came from somewhere else, there is a close relationship shared by everyone who was fortunate enough to sign the station on-the-air. Lynn was part of the original team. I hated to see Lynn leave CH 25 but was happy that she moved several miles south of West Palm and break into the Miami market. Lynn, if you read this, please send me an email at wyyz1490@aol.com. I’ll say a prayer or two for Lynn.

  6. FYI, according to public records Lynn is due back in court later this month. I too wish her well. Everybody’s got their issues.
