WHDH Names New Co-Anchor

2

After weeks of speculation the chiefs at WHDH, WSVN sister station in Boston, announced Frances Rivera is the new lead co-anchor for the 5, 6 and 11pm newscasts alongside Randy Price.

She replaces Caterina Bandini who left WHDH recently expecting twins anytime this month. Until now Rivera co-anchored the 4pm, 4:30pm and 5:30pm newscast with Matt Lorch who joined WHDH in August from WPLG.

Rivera signed a new 5-year contract with the station and according to WHDH general manager Mike Carson the newsroom “roared” when the announcement was made.

  1. Frances Rivera deserved that huge promotion indeed. I’m so proud of her.

And I’m also very proud of Caterina Bandini on the set of twins she’s expecting sometime this month. I wish her all the best of luck and blessings with the twins.
