I didn’t watch a peep from election coverage on any station, local or cable too busy catching up on SciFi and podcasts. But I did check out their sites.
CBS4.com was the first place I checked for results – and it kind of became my favorite stop to keep an eye on what’s up as I watched SciFi channel on the side.
Local10.com also had an easy to find straight forward way displaying election results.
WSVN.com … well it looked really half-assed effort with some tiny links to government sites for the election results! Not cool.
And then there’s NBC6.net. I tried playing ‘where’s the link’ a couple times and just gave up. Even on my 21″ LCD monitor I got eye strain trying to find what I was looking for. I liked their site initially but now … not so much.
MSNBC and Yahoo on the other hand did a great job. On the local level KING5.com left me thinking they were the most dedicated to election coverage for the web.
What about you? Did you use the web or TV for your election info? Who did you watch? Mouth off in the comments
Did 7 use the own talent or did they use the CNN or FOX feed? I hope they learned their lesson after the horrid attemmpt by Belkys Nerey in 2004. I remember her stuttering and babbling nonsense for the entire time.
They used there own talent. I think it was very well done. I watched on CNN and they did a GREAT and i mean a GREAT job. The grapics that they had were hot. They had Bloggers there. Im just so happy that Democrats are taking back House, Hopefully the Senate and Rumsfeild is OUT!!!
By the Way i think that if WSVN is going to keep doing things on there own with out any network connection. They should Get rid of Belkys (although i like her) and Craig and actually put the two people that have a Political Science Degree on The Anchor chair and Have them do the elections. That way we actually know that they know there stuff.
A note on WTVJ. I was on their site before the webcast began and I noticed the link in the usual spot–the upper right-hand column. Did that change?
6’s site was fucked up last night, at least when I attempted to access it. Every time my cursour would drag across a link, text box or graphic – it literally dissapeared. Did any one else experience this? I use a mac but never have I had any problems on 6’s site.
David – same thing happened to me…..i tried using a browser other then aol but on my mac had the same problem……Finally went to PLG’s site and it worked fine.
