Anonymous tipster says Judy Echavez has been let go from WPLG. She joined WPLG in 2003. Her contract was not renewed.

well it’s about time. now get rid of the HORRENDOUS, underdressed, louisy-voiced Alex Alvarez, and that will go a long way towards regaining my respect for channel 10.
Judy Echavez is the finest reporter in Miami. Judy was wonderful at WWOR-TV in Secaucus, New Jersey before she left for home to work at WPLG. We enjoyed her in the New York Metropolitan Area and miss her excellence. Apparently, WPLG cannot recognize talent. I am sure Judy will continue her outstanding career at a station that truely appreciates her. The problem is WPLG, not Judy Echavez. Judy is the most beautiful and talented reporter in Miami.

I agree. Good riddance. She was awful. I changed the channel every time she was on.
