  1. Wow, so sad. Brokaw stepped down willingly, Rather was forced out and now Jennings is dead. Major changes in the network in less than a year. He was a good anchor. He will be missed. I wonder who will replace him.

  2. He will be missed………….also dead is network news….cable news has taken over. Doesn’t matter who replaces him, if they were any good they would go to a cable network.

  3. It has declined but as for being dead, far from it. If the three big networks are sharing 30 million people from 6:30-7pm, how can you in you right mind think it is dead?

  4. I don’t exactly wait on network news to tell me what the news is. Even more so I’ve stop watching cable and their constant bullshit. I pay well for cable so I’m making a use of it. 7 HBO channels + ON Demand with no ads is pretty cool

  5. We will never see the likes of Peter Jennings again..This is a huge loss for our industry..Rest in Peace Peter…and Thank you!

  6. He was a terrific reporter and anchor; hopefully, there will be some young journalists who follow his example.

Not on cable, though; it’s not news- it’s 24 hours of windbags.
