An insider tells me WTVJ’s reporter Michelle Kosinski has been reporting a lot for the Today Show mostly out of Chicago while NBC is looking to replace several correspondents. She’s also being considered for a permanent hire once she gains some experience reporting
Heaven help them.
i’ve seen how she works with her crews and colleagues (sp?)…terrible…she’s a bitch and yells and fights all the time…
…and that thing she does with her lips when she talks is God-awful…
but, yes, she is no longer at wtvj and is reporting for, i believe, MSNBC…it’s either that, or NBC NewsChannel.
I don’t watch NBC often, but this I laughed at the previous post. What does she do with her lips that’s God-awful ? Is it like crooked or something like Stallone? Does she fight with other reporters at other stations?
Michelle is a solid reporter. Her passion is evident in her work. Instead of spewing this crap about her, why not be happy for her. Even though you may not like her, or her people skills, she’s still very good at what she does.
but she does do that extremely annoying crooked-mouth thing!
As someone who has actually worked with her, I agree whole-heartedly with “been there”. Her creativity and the joy she takes in her work are exceptional. She is profesional, exacting in her standarts, but mostly tough on herself. Any one who sees her work from the outside might see that as “bitchy” – I guess. She was always willing to take suggestions when I gave them to her, and often would make my ideas into something much better. Eccentric? Absolutely! I guess there are people out there who aren’t comfortable with that type of person, but they’re missing out. My husband (who also worked with her) and I were very happy to see her reporting on the today show. She has worked damn hard to be where she’s at.
Former Executive Producer
I for one am happy for her. I think she was a solid reporter for WTVJ….and pretty hot too 😉
Leave her alone. She and more pretty talking heads will be used and then vanquished by MSNBC and NBC when they do a Focus Group on her. But least she is pretty AND has a head on her shoulders, and intimidates Dan Abrams’ little weenie. Brains and presence or not, my guess is they had a tryst for her to get plum Arubs gig, which should be over! BTW, its not her lips, but problem she has with nose that looks like 2×4 that will end her run.
“I’m smarter, better looking, funnier than Dan” – how do I break into News?
I enjoyed her work tremendously in Charlotte, NC
Michele rocks! Reporting with passion on MSNBC. An assett for MSNBC
she has a crooked mouth and a MAN voice. not to mention almost every photog hates her guts. she’s not a very nice person….she’s also very crappy to other crews. i imagine being so bitchy must get lonely at times. poor her.
but aside from all that, she is a good reporter. can’t anyone be good at what they do and be a good person nowadays?? sheesh!
She definitely is easy on the eyes, but that little “curl” action with her lower lip while talking is somewhat distracting…. I wonder if a little thing like that might prevent her from reaching the “big time” in the reporting profession, since competition is so great??
I love that curl on her lip. I have one too. It reminds me that not everyone is perfect 🙂
I have never met her, but I always watched her on the news when I lived in South Florida. I think she’s the best reporter in all of South Florida! Actually knows how to report a story.
I just had to respond to this. People who get past their intimidation and KNOW michele tend to LOVE her.
As for shooters, most of the ones i know also love working with her. Thenonly one i know who doesn’t is someone everyone knows has a problem with her, locked horns with her a couple of times, and is one of those lazy types who spends hours trolling these boards looking for SOMETHING to hate.
Lazy people don’t like not being able to sit on their asses, but creative people find a great companion in michelle.
Does anyone know what Michelle did prior to reporting? Was she a swimmer, or model? Is the lip thing something contrived or is it the result of an injury (I think Sly’s is, right?).
Perhaps she should have some sort of thin flexible metal bar surgically inserted in her lower lip so it will then satisfy everybody who has a problem with her lips…
I think she does a damn fine job at “delivering” the news…isn’t that what we want? Judging by her looks, I’d say she’s got a lengthy broadcasting career ahead of her.
Michele would be a welcome addition to the Philadelphia news market.
And yes…she’s VERY hot as far as I’m concerned… A “visual” 10…
Johnson, I couldn’t agree with you more about “lazy asses”. There are many “sit-down” jobs, but a photographer is NOT one of them. Now to all you “lazy ass” photographers that happen to be working with Michele, can you give the babe some justice…?
P.S. – Getting the “VALIDATION CODE” for this site to work, SUCKS!! COME-ON… FOUR times to submit a comment because of a validation code ERROR?? Like… I CAN successfully enter 4 characters…
I think Michelle does an outstanding job. One of the best reporters on tv. She happens to also be stunningly beautiful as well.
I have not spoken to Michelle in several years, however, did know her growing up. I will tell you that she is the brightest person I have ever met and does not have a mean bone in her body. My guess is that this has NOT changed with age. I’m sure she is ambitious and focused as she is living her life dream. It is unfortunate that others see this as something else. I am proud of her and think she looks great on TV and is extremely competent which is most important here, isn’t it? I’m sure all of you “lookers” out there are perfect and do not have one flaw or one thing about you that others might find unflattering – good for you.
I too worked with Michelle. The first day I met her.. we talked about what we watched on TV the night before.. I watched some stupid sitcom like “Friends”.. she watched a PBS special on a math theorom… intimidating. She is a very smart person, and a creative writer. During the time I worked with her, she had a knack for finding the oddball/interesting stories. She is beautiful in person…. very short.. probably 5’1. I think she has very little tolerance for slackers.. hence some of the earlier posts on this board. She is a bit abrasive at times.. usually with the slackers who work with her.. but sometimes it’s her fault too. The lower lip thing is new.. she didn’t do that when I worked with her. I think a rogue consultant has gotten to her.
michelle is alive & doing a great job
she’ll be a great replacement for some of those fading old zombies they have at nbc
I’m in the Dallas area, and have just seen her Hurricane Ophelia coverage on the Today Show. I’ve lived in a lot of places around the world for the last 37 years, and have seen a wide variety of styles of professional and non-professional reporting. I can just say, I hope she’s around for a long time to come. I think she does a great job. I agree with Gordon Stanley. NBC does need some fresh approaches. She is also VERY nice on the eyes.
I think the “lip” thing gives personality and “reality” in an artificial cosmetic surgery world. Go girl!
yeah, she’s smart and hot….total package 🙂
michelle kosinski said some veiled racist things about ethnic women who go missing and the lack of coverage on the Big Idea with Donny Deutch. She said that those particular women’s parents tend to not be articulate enough or willing to speak to the media daily if need be. So not true. The Doctor Phil show dedicated a whole show on this subject that ran last week. The black woman whose daughter has been missing for 2 years was highly intelligent, articulate and yes, attractive ( although it’s ridiculous that looks even matter). Pat Lalama talked about how news directors will ask what the woman looks like when deciding to pursue a story and that predjudice plays a large part in which stories will be covered. Even so….michelle kept blowing her off and saying that the other (white) women’s stories were more “appealing”. I think that as many people as possible should call, write and e-mail nbc to complain about this clearly predjudicial, insincere, and insensitive person.
i caught most of that segment, but i didn’t take it that way at all. In what i heard, she actually DISAGREED that the media ONLY covers white women. i heard her say that she has covered all types of missing persons cases, and that they were based on the details of the case– not because the whites were more articulate. I didn’t hear anything insensitive or racist at all in that. in fact, i heard michele say that it’s a case by case basis. NOT based on race!
I, too worked with Michelle. She is a solid reporter with a lot of heart and true passion for what she does. I am thrilled to see how far she has come in her career and feel certain this is only the beginning.
I am happy to see Michelle Kosinski any time she appears on TV. Somehow, intelligent people just seem to get their story across better. As far as her looks, it’s the first thing I notice! I think her lip is sexy; it shows her uniqueness. I’m constantly dissapointed with most female reporters on news stations; hardly ANY are good looking, let alone hot! I thought reporting was fiercly competetive; I guess being beautiful and sharp are more exclusive than I thought. Producers know we’ll watch more if we like what we’re looking at. Natalie Morales is a prime example of a great looking, smart woman-what can beat that?
Unless you actually know her, it is hard to see the real Michelle. She is no more shallow, mean, or bitchy than any other pro anchor. She got where she is based on her skills… and likely won’t go much further for that very same reason. Her canoe fiasko left a bad taste in a lot of peoples mouths. However, staging a scene for ratings is nothing new! It’s as old as the news itself! A group of marines almost shot Peter Jennings in Vietnam for staging a scene and making them look like heartless bastards… he got lucky when the nco in charge saved him.
Somehow, she impresses me as artificial. There’s something plastic about her; maybe her tone of voice contributes to create this perception. I find it surprising that she has a degree and a Master in Journalism from Northwestern because she comes through as someone who has no depth. However, I would call her ambitious and calculatingly cold. When she lived in Miami, she dated a millionaire much older than her, and quite unattractive. She was offered the post with NBC, dropped him like a hot potato, and rushed out of town. Eventually, she connected with the millionaire’s best friend –who’s no longer his best friend, precisely because of her.
There’s something about her that’s not kosher!
Strangely, virtually none of the above post is true. Where do you get your information?! Kosinski’s love life is well known in Miami– where she STILL LIVES.
Michelle dated the same man for many years, who yes, was wealthy but handsome and well-liked, and they became engaged years AFTER she went to the network.
The NY Post just reported that they broke up recently, apparently because his (also well-known) cocaine problem had reappeared.
In my opinion, this just gave me even more respect for michelle. She is known around here as a good and loyal friend to those who know her.
There was no best friend involved in the picture. And she and her “ex” are apparently still friends.
Last I heard, Michelle was single and now moving to London.
That answers the question how she could buy a multi-million dollar house in Miami for about 7 million. I saw that some time ago and couldn’t figure out how she could afford it…….now I do.
Check out HOT photos of her on beach, on flickr! or twitter @algiannello. YES!
is she related to them crooked feds Frank and Matt Kosinski who put my life thru more hell claiming they were helping me ?
karen kosinski, is she also related to you, matt, and frank kosinski ?
these kosinski’s that work for the federal government here are not nice, they are very cold hearted murderers..rapist, drug punks, who set you up to be degraded and want you to go to court and or go to jail for crooks.
I enjoyed her work here in Rockford, IL when she began her career, very thought and pleasant to me after an interview when I came home after a deployment from Iraq. I wish her well in the future.
