Brian Andrews has contracted malaria while in Thailand and was recovering in Sri Lanka. When I was told about it on Jan 6th Andrews was said to be very sick, but he has received shots since then and doing better

Have they decided whom the new Chief Weatherman will be? Will they hand the title to Tom and hire a new weekend man? Novak seems to be doing a decent job.
no idea. they still have the job listed on their site as open. Tom seems to be the likely choice but they might not want him as the main guy for whatever reason – the suits, not doing well with focus groups, etc, or he might not want the job so …. will have to wait and see 😉

Brain Andrews currently reports for WFOR in Miami. Was previously with WSVN……….great reporter and a relanice guy.
