7 Tells FOX no baseball at 4pm

Tis the season for FOX to become a sports network and have baseball on whenever there’s a game. But according to the Miami Herald WSVN told FOX if National League playoff series has to be aired at 4pm on Monday Channel 7 will not make space for it by pre-empting 7News at 5pm. FSN Florida (FOX Sports Network Florida) will carry the game instead. WSVN has agreed to broadcast the 8pm game.

Who wouldda thunk it. Having a sports game on a sports channel! Next thing you know 7 has had enough with bumping newscasts and all games actually end up where they belong. Brilliant!

  1. I’m wondering if one of the reasons they don’t want to pre-empt the evening newscast today is that they are going to premiere the new graphics and music… 😉

  2. I don’t think it’s so brilliant……Too often, important playoff games have been leaving free television for cable, which 30 percent of the population still can’t afford. Sports is becoming a luxury for the rich, just like everything else.
